Happy Birthday Bryce!

My friend Liz's son celebrated his second birthday on Saturday, December 12th. Everything was "Thomas the Train" themed, including the bouncy castle that was in the backyard. Dave and I even got to play in it after all the kids left.
Dylan loved the balloon!

He's really in to pulling you close and giving big kisses...

Check out that cake!!!

We played "pin the nose on Thomas". You can see that Dylan did participate, but he would much rather eat his piece than get it in the right position. (look closely...his piece is really wet and way up at the top)

Enjoying some play time...

Quality time with the birthday boy in the bouncy...

School Holiday Party

Dylan attended his first holiday party on Friday, December 11th. I took a couple pictures, but not nearly as many as I should have. As you can see, there are none with Dave and me.

Gator Mania

There's always a huge football game the weekend after Thanksgiving. It's usually tense in our family since Uncle Jeff, Dave, and I are graduates of UF, while both my mom and brother attended FSU. Dylan and I headed over to Aunt Kristin and Uncle Jeff's house for the big game. Dave actually went to Gainesville. He had a great time even though it took him four and a half hours to get there! It was nice to see Tebow win his last game in "The Swamp"....

And it's always fabulous to be on the winning side of the family rivalry.

G'Day Mates!!

It wouldn't be a Friday without Outback happy hour! So, the day after Thanksgiving we headed over to Outback to get together with friends and family.

Fun times with Aunt Samma...

For some reason Dylan ALWAYS gets the same drink...

All the excitement really wears some people out!!

A Lot to be Thankful for...

Dylan had a spectacular first turkey day! His Aunt Samma came to town from Houston. We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house early in the afternoon. We hung out until it was time for the feast. Dylan sat in a high chair for the first time. He sat right there with us at the table in his assigned seat (please see the place card). It was rather special as it was the same high chair that Dave used to sit in as well as Aunt Samma and Uncle Andy. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and the family time chatting (and resting) in front of the fire.

Just Hanging With Mom and Dad

It's always nice to spend some quality time together, just the three of us, as a family.

Look who's rolling over!!

Dylan started rolling over consistently today. It seems like every time I put him down, he immediately rolls over. When I was trying to get the video, he rolled over so quickly I had to put him on his back three times before I had the camera ready to roll. When I showed Dave the video, he said Dylan makes it look so easy.

The third Dr. Hobbs in the making...

There is a wonderful receptionist in Grandpa Hobbs office who loves to sew. She has made Dylan some really cute things. Her latest is his first set of scrubs. He looked so cute we thought we'd take some pictures. It fits him nicely. Maybe he will go into the medical field like his dad and grandpa. Keep on the tradition of growing up and becoming Dr. Hobbs!

Bib-O-Rama

Dylan has received some really cute personalized bibs from a friend in Atlanta (Thanks Malti-we love you and miss you!). We are hoping that she and her (sort of still new) husband can plan a trip to Florida this coming summer. Malti and I met when she taught spanish to my very first class in Marietta, Georgia. That was almost ten years ago. My, how time flies! Dylan and I had a little photo session to get some cute pics with the bibs. It's much harder to get him to smile for the camera when he is so interested in figuring out what the camera is and whether or not he can get it in his mouth.

Happy Birthday Aunt Katie!!

Twenty-two years ago I was blessed with a little sister. It is hard to believe that she is getting ready to graduate from college. I remember so much from when she was little...ballet classes...horse shows...spandex shorts (she would only wear a horse shirt and spandex shorts for the longest time)...all the good stuff. Even though I don't see her as often as I would like, we were able to get together to celebrate her birthday. And, it was the very first time she held Dylan. We had a delicious dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed the time we had to catch up with each other.

We love you Kates and hope you had a great birthday. We look forward to hanging out with you in December!
