Meet Aunt Samma!!

Just after Dylan met his Uncle from my side of the family, he was lucky enough to meet his Aunt Samma from his daddy's side of the family. She flew in from Houston for the annual Sanibel vacation. She was so sweet to bring him some lovely gifts! She gave him plenty of love every minute she could before she had to leave. As you can see from the pictures, she also can get a little crazy at times.

Uncle Time!!

Dylan got to meet his Uncle Josh who is my brother. He flew in from Vermont and headed to Saint Pete to hang out with his new nephew. They had some bonding time and Dylan even tested him with a little spit up. Uncle Josh passed with flying colors as he said, "It's just a t-shirt!" I was definitely impressed. Although we didn't get too much time together, we did enjoy a nice lunch out and hope to get more cuddles soon!

Here comes the bride...

Dylan was honored to be invited to his very first wedding! He was so excited to be able to attend. The lucky couple are good friends of ours who got hitched in Saint Petersburg. It was our first night out since Dylan had arrived and what a joyous occasion to celebrate, for both of us as well as the happy couple. A great time was had by all, especially Dylan who had his very own place card and got to be held by various friends throughout the entire evening! Congratulations to Laura and Brad!

What a lifesaver!!!

So what do you do when you're in the hospital and worried about all the logistics of feeding a newborn and it's after hours for the lactation consultants?? I decided to call on a good friend from junior high school. Although it was late at night, Lisa still answered a text from a desperate friend. She was extremely helpful and provided the kind words I needed to hear to know that everything was going to be ok. To top it all off she had a trip planned to Florida shortly after. She and her sister came over to visit while she was in town and of course, I hounded her again with tons of questions. She has been such a great help and I could never thank her enough.
