A "Wail" Of A Time

July 24th was a big day for Dylan! It was his one month old birthday. I got him the cutest toy to start spending some "tummy time" on. You can see in the picture that it's a whale and it has a water pouch up at the top so he can watch the fish swim and all kinds of toys attached. However, as you can see, he did not LOVE his first experience with his new toy. Maybe one day he'll appreciate the first birthday present his mom gave him.

First Night Out!

Dylan was the only bachelor allowed at this bachelorette party. My friend Laura had her dinner at Bahama Breeze before her last night out on the town. Since Dave had gone to Orlando for the bachelor party, I enlisted the help of my big sister Kristin to take Dylan out. I was very nervous, but he was such a good boy! He sat in his carrier and slept the whole time.

Our First Family Walk

We took our very first family walk to show Dylan the neighborhood.

Aunt Kristin, Uncle Jeff, and cousin Callie

Bubbe Made It!!

My mom came to visit the week after Dylan was born. After some weather delays, she finally arrived at our house around 2:30 in the morning. She got in lots of snuggling and we were very sad to see her go.

More Love...

Lots of Love

Many friends have stopped by to meet Dylan and give him love. We are very lucky to have such great people in our lives. We thank you for all your love and support as we take on this new venture.

First Visit to the Pediatrician

As you can see from the picture Dylan was not too excited to go to the doctor's office. We were happy to hear that he had also already regained the weight that he had lost in the hospital.

Leaving the Hospital

What a day!! We were so excited to finally go home. Dave had to take a couple trips to the car as I got Dylan ready to ride in his car seat for the first time. It was quite an experience making sure he was all snuggled in correctly.

Visiting With Grandma and Grandpa Hobbs in the Hospital

Our Prince is Born

At 2:28 in the morning on June 24, 2009 we welcomed our prince into the world. He weighed in at 9 pounds and 5 ounces and was 23.5 inches long. My mom had warned me that I might have a big baby!

Upon completing some careful research we also FINALLY decided on a name other than "Gator Bob" which is what we referred to him as throughout the entire pregnancy. Although he may always have that nickname, we believe Dylan John is much more fitting.

40 Weeks and Counting

Hog Wild in Key West

We were able to enjoy a trip to Key West at the end of April. It was the weekend of the Conch Rebellion. We watched the battle from the pier at the end of Mallory Square as the sun was setting. In pure Hobbs fashion, we traveled everywhere on our "hogs".

A Sporty Shower

My second shower was held at school and was coordinated by quad mama Jenna. It was all about our sports teams that we follow. She left no detail out as we sipped on Gatorade and enjoyed all kinds of delicious food that can also be enjoyed at a tailgate party. Check out that amazing cake!!
