#1 Fan

On Tuesday, September 22, Dave and I took Dylan to his very first Rays game. Dave had gotten him the cutest outfit so I got him dressed and off we went. I was so excited to get back to the peanuts and hot dogs. I hadn't gone to a game since I was pregnant, so it was a little bit of a first for me too!

As we entered, someone who worked at the stadium invited us to guest services to get a special pin indicating his very first Rays game.

We had the best time introducing him to some of our season ticket holder friends who sit around us. Mrs. Edie burped and snuggled with him for the last couple of innings.

And, on Tuesdays, the crowd gets to walk across the field at the end of the game to exit. We even got a quick pic with Raymond, the mascot! What a special outing for us as a family. It was a ton of fun.

Oh, and Dylan does not seem to be such a good luck charm as the Rays lost to Seattle 4-3.

Krewe Social

My krewe (Princess Ulele) began planning socials once a month and I was finally able to attend one. I figured I would bring Dylan to meet the Krewe since he had participated in some parades before he was born. So, we headed to Fresco's, which is a small restaurant in downtown St. Pete on the water by the pier. It was a beautiful evening that was perfect for hanging out with the ladies.

We also tried to catch some fish with a new kind of bait (check out the paci in the water) but the fish were not biting!

The Bucs stop here!!

Although Dave and I are season ticket holders for the Bucs, we probably won't be heading to many games together this year. We were told that Dylan would need to have a ticket too. Can you imagine?? A $65 dollar ticket for a baby who can't even sit in his own seat anyways?? "Yes ma'am" is what I was told. So, for the first game against the Cowboys, Dylan and I went to my friend Liz's house.

Bryce(Liz's son) was so sweet with Dylan holding his hand and blotting the spit bubbles off of his chin. It was so cute. Unfortunately, all Dylans cheering didn't help the Bucs much as they ended up losing the game. Despite the loss, We enjoyed watching the game in the nice air conditioning (Dave said it was unbearable at the stadium) and chowing down on some good food with our friends.

Party Animal

The Walker four were having their first birthday party and Dylan was so excited to go! It's not too often you get to say you went to four friends parties over the weekend. It was at the Dunedin Sprayground and although he didn't get to play in the water, he thought it looked like a lot of fun. He didn't mind, especially since he got lots of love from Grandma G and Farmer Dan (they are the grandparents of the quads). But, after seeing the quads eat their cakes, he can not wait for his first birthday! yum-yum. He had so much fun, he had to take a little snooze before getting his parting gift (sunglasses) and heading home.

Holding On...

Dylan has started moving his hands toward his toys and can hold on to them when they are put in his hand. So, I took some pictures of him holding on to a couple of different toys. Check out his little LATER GATOR outfit!! (Thanks Samma)

Movin' On Up!!

When we brought Dylan home from the hospital, we had his pack and play set up next to our bed. But, a little while after he turned two months, we decided it was time to move him to his own room and let him learn what his crib was like. So, these pictures are from his first nap. He has been doing very well with his sleeps and loves playing and making noise in the crib when he wakes up in the morning.

Poops!...I did it again...

My niece, also known as babysitter in training, is so wonderful with her cousin! Upon returning from her little fishing trip with Uncle Dave, she really wanted to hold Dylan. Now, she has held him before...many times, but this time was different! She hadn't experienced any leaky diapers and I, of course, had never mentioned it. You can see where I'm going with this. It happened, and she was a true champ about it, even though it was on her new Green Day shirt that her dad had gotten for her from the concert!! She thought it was funny and then continued to help me do the nightly duties. She wanted to know how to do everything, from bathing, to jammies, to reading books. What a great helper! Can't wait for her to get a little older and use her skills frequently!!

First Summer in Sanibel

Well...this post is VERY late. We did actually get some time to relax in Sanibel in the beginning of August. Dave's family has been traveling there every summer for over 25 years. It's a nice way to end the summer each year with friends and family visiting at different times throughout the two weeks. Although I was worried about all the additional stuff we would have to bring for the baby, we packed pretty well and had a fabulous time. Dave and I even got to enjoy a lunch together at the pool just the two of us!

What a Sucker!!!

Look what Dylan found!! I think he might have gotten this one from mom! I used to suck my thumb when I was little. Hopefully it won't become too bad of a habit because I remember how hard it was for me to quit.

Ashley = Cancer Free!!!

My first night out back on the town will be memorable for many reasons. Some friends from high school planned a night out in celebration of our friend Ashley who beat cancer. I left Dylan with Dave who had invited his dad and a friend over to watch the Rays game. I felt very comfortable leaving knowing there were three people watching over him. I headed to Channelside in Tampa for dinner and then we went to Howl at the Moon. We payed the pianists to write a congratulatory message to Ashley on the mirror (which you can't see in the picture because the woman who had my camera did not back up far enough). But anyhow, it was very sweet and had the whole bar a little emotional as they cheered very loudly for her!! I had a great time and didn't even call to check on the baby once, until I was on my way home.
