A Winter Wonderland for Baby's First Christmas!

We were so excited to brave an airplane trip and head up North to my mom's house in Vermont for Dylan's first Christmas. We booked a flight out of Orlando so that we could hop on a direct flight and not have to worry about connecting flights or weather delays from multiple places.

Dylan was pumped to get going. He was going to meet some more members from my side of the family.

We THOUGHT we could pack lightly!! Turns out we had two big suitcases, two carry-ons, the diaper bag, and a ski bag(which is huge...it fit a pair of skis, poles, a snowboard, boots, and clothes to protect them from rubbing each other). The real trick was getting all of this luggage plus the baby in his carrier to the check-in counter. Can't you just see Dave's brain working to plan the proper connection strategy?

We weren't sure how traffic would be so we left way early (a shocker for us!) and had some time to relax and play some cards in the airport before the trip.

All buckled in and ready to go...

FINALLY got to meet Grandpa Osmer! My dad met us at the airport and was a huge help when we were trying to juggle picking up our luggage and getting the rental car.

Once we got the car loaded up with all the luggage, we headed out for Bubbe's house, which was full of family who had come together for the holiday.
